Roles in Berry Avenue are costumes and locations, not careers with wages. Multiple guides and the Roblox Wiki description agree there is no salary, coin balance, or paycheck. A phone Jobs list has been shown in walkthroughs, and you can also dress for the part and travel to the building. Use either path. Neither one pays you.

The full notes for each role are on Roles.
Start the shift
- Wear something that reads as the job at a glance. Job uniforms and a reset option have been shown in beginner walkthroughs.
- Go to the building, or choose the role from the phone Jobs list if that icon is in your build.
- Tell chat the shift is open and name one task, such as "homeroom is seating" or "counter is open for one order."
- End the shift on purpose. A closed sign or a last call gives the other players a stopping point.
Bank, police, and hospital
The official description puts robbery and police work on the same bank loop, and it names treating patients at the hospital. Keep those scenes light. The listing's maturity rating is Minimal and suitable for everyone. Do not drag a player into a crime or medical scene if they are already in a school or family story. Ask, play the response, and stop when they leave.
If you want the role that most often creates a scene with strangers, police and hospital staff do that more reliably than a solo drive. Grocery work and school are better when you want a calmer first day. That comparison is editorial, and it is spelled out on the role scene board.
